Too long!

It’s been way too long… too much life… how do I ever get back to writing on my personal blog? So much has happened… both girls are grown and married; our dogs have all crossed over the rainbow bridge and now my new little four-legged pup is a rescue from South Korea in 2022! I am still teaching but this year, about five days before the school year was to start, I was gifted a new challenge after fifteen years… grade 2! So far, I am loving the change; I am loving the personal growth I am witnessing. This year I am turning sixty!!!!! When did that happen? I decided I wanted to leave my fifties with a bang and so I was able to go to Niagara Falls (thank you, Alma, for being a fantastic host) and Palmyra, New York (a religious Mecca trip for me). I have determined that I am going to bring in my sixties with happiness. My goal is the be grateful for every day past sixty that I get to experience. So many don’t even get a year sixty. I lost my mom in 2005. My dad turned 88 this year (my favorite number). I am learning to live a gratitude-filled life. It changes you. I’m still married. We celebrated 35 years this year. We now have a number of cats plus one dog (miniature poodle) and my youngest and her husband currently live in our basement. My oldest and her husband live in South Korea and runs an English hogwan (academy) there. At this point I’m not sure if she and her husband will ever move back. Be grateful, be kind, recognize tender mercies in your life and daily praise and acknowledge God in your life. It’s what keeps me balanced. Until next time…
